#1 Tip: Reserve your Airport parking spot now!

SAN ANTONIO (June 27, 2025)  As summer travel heats up, San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is reaching peak travel season, especially during the Fourth of July weekend. An estimated 145,000 travelers will be flying in and out of SAT from Sunday, June 29 through Sunday, July 6.

SAT is sharing its top travel tips just in time for the holiday weekend: Reserve your airport parking spot or have an alternative parking plan. “Flying Soon? Reserve Parking or Catch a Ride” is the new campaign featured on billboards around San Antonio, social media, and engagement initiatives.

“We expect 10,000 more travelers than last year, so we know the demand will be high,” Jesus Saenz, Director of Airports, City of San Antonio Aviation Department said. “School is out, and everyone is ready to experience some summer fun, so if you’re planning to travel, you can reserve a parking spot at least two hours before your flight. We want every traveler to have a smooth experience as they enter San Antonio International Airport and head to their destinations. By having a parking plan and arriving early, you will have time to park or valet, get to through the security checkpoint, and to the terminals. We want our travelers to have a stress-free beginning or end to their vacation by following this advice.”
