Detective Arrested for Driving While Intoxicated

SAN ANTONIO (June 6, 2025) – San Antonio Police Detective Albert Garansuay was arrested, while off-duty, for Driving While Intoxicated on 06/06/25, around 2am by SAPD (Case number: SAPD25113480). Garansuay has been placed on administrative duty.

Detective Garansuay is assigned to the SAPD Street Crimes Gun Unit and has been employed by the San Antonio Police Department for 19 years. The San Antonio Police Department is conducting both a criminal and administrative investigation into this incident.
