Services resume following scheduled improvements.

SAN ANTONIO (February 13, 2026) – San Antonio Public Library’s (SAPL) Bazan Branch Library is set to reopen at noon on Monday, February 16, 2026, after a total replacement of the library’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system.

Bazan Branch Library (2200 W. Commerce St.) closed in September for scheduled maintenance to replace the HVAC systems. During the closure, the San Antonio Public Library provided interim service for library patrons at the Atanacio Garcia Natatorium (1430 W. Cesar E. Chavez Road). The last day for interim service at the Natatorium will be February 13.

With the reopening, Bazan Branch Library returns to a normal service schedule. The library will be open Monday and Tuesday from 12 – 8 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Bazan Branch Library staff have been hard at work for the reopening. The branch has already begun scheduling weekly programs and activities for all ages. For a full list of upcoming events and programs at Bazan, visit the library’s website.

For young community members looking to help at the library, Bazan is seeking teen volunteers. To learn more about teen volunteer opportunities and how to apply, visit the library’s website.
