Film San Antonio is San Antonio's official film commission and a division of Arts & Culture. Our team is here to connect you with San Antonio’s film community and help you navigate the destination. Services

We champion filming in San Antonio to increase economic impact and we offer a slate of resources and programs. Film San Antonio works with film, television, commercial and digital media production industries and provides the following services:

  • Marketing San Antonio to global media production industries.
  • Film permitting for City-owned properties.
  • Bringing local crew members and vendors together with job opportunities via our Production Directory.
  • Highlighting San Antonio's film-friendly locations through our Location Gallery.
  • Connecting active productions with government departments, business and locations that may support filming.
  • Supporting San Antonio-based filmmakers through Artist Grants.
  • Administrating San Antonio's Film Incentive Program.
  • Supporting film festivals through our grant program.

Performing Arts, Film & Music Committee

Performing Arts, Film & Music Committee members have experience in these industries and work to participate in related public meetings and contribute experience, knowledge and reports to the San Antonio Arts Commission.

Per the Commission bylaws, the committee can comprise up to 11 members. If you are interested in volunteering your time and commitment to the performing arts, film, and music industries of San Antonio, please apply to join the committee.
