Animal Care Services Announces Winter Wonderland Adoption Event

There’s still time to start the new year with a new pet  

SAN ANTONIO (December 21, 2022) - City of San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) is winding down 2022 with a Winter Wonderland adoption event that will have residents ringing in the new year with a new companion. Starting Dec. 24 through the end of the year, all dogs, and cats under the age of five years old can be adopted for just $20. Pets five years or older qualify for fee-waived adoptions.

As always, pets adopted from ACS are sterilized and vaccinated with their first round of shots. Pets are also microchipped with a free lifetime registration and dogs qualify for training assistance for their lifetime. Along with the lowered adoption rates, the municipal shelter will have special operating hours during the holiday week for would-be adopters.

• Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, Noon- 4 p.m.
• Christmas Day, Dec. 25, CLOSED
• Dec. 26-30, 1 p.m.- 7 p.m.
• New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, Noon- 4 p.m.
• New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, CLOSED
