San Antonio Parks and Recreation Announces Extended Pool Schedule

SAN ANTONIO (August 11, 2023) – San Antonio Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the extended pool season schedule for nine outdoor pools beginning the week of August 14, 2023 through September 24, 2023.

“Extended Pool Seasons continue to be a part of our aquatics operations each year,” said Homer Garcia III, Director of Parks and Recreation. “We know that our community needs places to stay cool, even as many in our city return back to school and college.”

Nine pools will remain open on the weekends. In addition to weekend hours, Roosevelt Pool and Woodlawn Lake Pool will be open on select weekday evenings.

Opportunities to Stay Cool

The San Antonio Natatorium (1430 Cesar E. Chavez), a public indoor pool facility, continues to welcome swimmers for open swim, lap swim and fitness classes. For hours, fees, and for Natatorium swim times, visit SAParksandRec.com.  

The City’s seven splash pads remain open from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. through October.

Parks and Recreation has partnered with Thousand Oaks Family YMCA and Southwest ISD Aquatic Center to offer Community Swim Days. Schedules vary by location.
