SAN ANTONIO (January 9, 2024) – The Alamo City is gearing up for its 36th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) March and Celebration, a beloved tradition honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King. This year’s event presents a vibrant tapestry of community, music, activism, with a schedule of engaging activities for all ages.

A March for Unity and Progress

The festivities culminate on Monday, January 15, with the signature MLK March. Leaving from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy at 10 a.m., the march will weave its way through the heart of San Antonio, ending at historic Pittman-Sullivan Park. This powerful display of unity and progress serves as a powerful reminder of Dr. King’s dream and a call to action for the future.

Following the march and celebration, a stage set against the backdrop of Pittman-Sullivan Park will host three exceptional speakers who will further ignite the spirit of Dr. King's message. Anya DillardJerome Foster II, and Amariyanna Copeny will offer their unique perspectives and inspire continued action towards a more just and equitable world.
