Officers Suspended and Charges Filed Following Review of Shooting

San Antonio - (June 23, 2023) – The San Antonio Police Department on Friday suspended without pay Sergeant Alfred Flores, Officer Eleazar Alejandro and Officer Nathaniel Villalobos following a review of an Officer Involved Shooting that occurred earlier this morning. The officers involved had 14, 5 and 2 years on the department, respectively.
San Antonio Police Department Homicide Unit detectives have filed murder charges against the above listed officers following a criminal investigation into this shooting.
Chief William McManus will address the media at the Public Safety Headquarters (PSHQ) media room at 9 p.m., June 23, 2023.
Consistent with the Department’s Critical Incident Video Release Procedure, the Department also published the video from the officer-involved shooting in question. These videos will be sent to your news desks in a separate email.
