Officer Arrested for Assault Bodily Injury-Married

SAN ANTONIO (November 14, 2023) – An off-duty San Antonio Police Officer, Mark Andrew Sanchez Jr, was arrested for assault bodily injury-married/cohabitation. The victim filed a police report with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on November 11th, 2023. Sanchez turned himself in to authorities this morning, November 14th, 2023.

Officer Sanchez is assigned to Patrol and has been employed by the San Antonio Police Department for 5 years. He will be immediately suspended without pay. The San Antonio Police Department is conducting an administrative investigation into this incident.
