SAN ANTONIO (August 7, 2023) — The City of San Antonio invites the community to visit Historic Market Square and La Villita Historic Arts Village this August for a wide variety of events.

When: Thursday, August 10, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Last Blast Summer Blast & The Pass Dedication Ceremony
Last Blast Summer Bash: Saturday, August 12 & Sunday, August 13, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., FREE
The Pass Dedication Ceremony: Saturday, August 12, 12-12:30 p.m., FREE
Celebrate the end of summer and back to school time at Market Square’s Last Blast Summer Blast! The event features live entertainment, food vendors, artisan vendors, Zumba, kids' games and activities, themed characters, and much more!
The event will also include a special dedication ceremony for The Pass. The Pass is a new recreation area located at the IH-35 elevated highway underpass between Dolorosa and Commerce streets. The Pass is a family-friendly recreation area that includes a basketball court, ping pong tables, swing chairs and tables, murals, and more. The community is invited to attend the dedication ceremony and enjoy food, music, a limited amount of back-to-school giveaways, and kids’ games. Lunch Break on Houston Street

Check out the City's SAPark website for easy, convenient, and affordable parking! A full list of City-owned garages, lots and meters can be found here. Downtown Tuesday offers free parking on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. in City-owned parking facilities, and City Tower Sundays offers free parking on Sundays from 7 a.m. to midnight at the City Tower Garage located at 117 W. Commerce.
