District 3 Councilwoman Appointed to National League of Cities

SAN ANTONIO (February 2, 2023) – The District 3 Councilwoman has been appointed to serve on the National League of Cities’ (NLC) Transportation and Infrastructure Service (TIS) Committee.  The TIS Committee leads NLC’s policy development and advocacy on transportation, and advocates for federal funding opportunities for cities and towns to improve safety and connectivity, and leveraging innovation for all types of transportation.  

As a member of NLC’s Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee, the District 3 Councilwoman will help shape NLC’s policy positions and advocate for municipalities before members of Congress, the President’s administration, and San Antonio.

“NLC’s federal advocacy committees are a key tool for gathering insights directly from the communities our members serve,” said NLC President Mayor Victoria Woodards of Tacoma, Washington. “I am excited to have San Antonio’s District 3 Councilwoman on the Committee and look forward to working with her .”
