Bexar County COVID-19 Risk Level at High Follow prevention strategies to Celebrate 4th of July Safely

CHILDREN 6 MONTHS AND OLDER CAN NOW RECEIVE COVID-19 VACCINE


 SAN ANTONIO (June 29, 2022) – As of June 28, the COVID-19 Community Level Risk is “High”.
 
“As we approach the July 4th celebrations, Metro Health continues to monitor closely the COVID-19 cases”, explains Metro Health Director Claude A. Jacob. “Although we are documenting an increase in new cases and hospitalizations, we remain vigilant and remind everyone to celebrate safely and follow the COVID-19 prevention strategies – mask up in crowded indoor places, get tested if you have been exposed or have symptoms, and stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccine and boosters.”

To find a list of pop-up vaccination clinics, visit the City of San Antonio Covid-19 Website or call 311 and select option 8. No appointment is needed. A static pop-up clinic is open on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Frank Garrett Center located at 1226 NW 18th St, San Antonio, TX 78207
 
Metro Health continues to offer a $100 H-E-B gift card while supplies last for those who have yet to be fully vaccinated. The incentive is available at the Metro Health Immunization clinic and its pop-up clinics only.
