SAN ANTONIO (April 2, 2024) — The City of San Antonio invites the community to visit Historic Market Square, La Villita Historic Arts Village and Travis Park this April for a wide variety of events and to celebrate Fiesta!

La Villita Historic Arts Village Events

Starving Artist Art Show

When: Saturday, April 6 & Sunday, April 7, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., FREE

Hosted by the Starving Artist Gallery of La Villita, more than 100 artists and craftspeople will showcase their merchandise. Proceeds from the annual art show will benefit the Little Church of La Villita. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.

Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA)®

When: Tuesday, April 23 – Friday, April 26, 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., ticketed event

Each year, the historic downtown village of La Villita takes center stage as 85,000 visitors gather for four nights to celebrate the city's unique heritage at "A Night in Old San Antonio." Hundreds of elaborately decorated food and drink booths and more than a dozen nonstop entertainment stages represent the diverse cultures and customs of our city in 15 heritage-themed areas. Solar Eclipse Glasses Giveaway

When: Monday, April 8, 11:30 a.m. – 12 noon, FREE

Market Square staff will be giving away 300 solar eclipse glasses (while supplies last) inside the Farmers Market building. One pair per person and must be present to receive glasses. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.

Fiesta de los Reyes

When: Friday, April 19 – Sunday, April 28, 10 a.m. – 12 midnight, FREE

The Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation and the City of San Antonio have partnered to produce Fiesta de los Reyes at Market Square, a culturally rich celebration featuring daily and nightly live performances, a wide variety of delicious cuisine and exciting family-friendly events. Travis Park Events

Solar Eclipse at Travis Park

When: Monday, April 8, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., FREE

If you will be downtown during the solar eclipse, Centro San Antonio is sponsoring this fun lunchtime event at Travis Park with food, drinks, and music. Solar eclipse glasses will be available while supplies last. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.

Fourth Annual Guayabera Festival

When: Saturday, April 13, 1-7 p.m., FREE

Guayabera Fest, cohosted by Centro San Antonio and Divide & Conquer Denim & Leather, promises plenty of Fiesta flavor. Undoubtedly, the centerpiece will be the iconic guayabera, a button-up garment cherished by both men and women in San Antonio and South Texas. Attendees are encouraged to wear their own guayabera for the party or purchase one at the event. The event will feature live music and performances by Volcan, Bexar Brass, DJ Brukout, and 30+ local vendors will offer fashion and fiesta inspired food, beverages and retail items. Lunch Break on Houston Street

Plan Your Fiesta

Downtown can get busy on the weekends and especially during Fiesta, so plan your experience.There are numerous street closures in the downtown area as well as the potential for heavy traffic with several large events taking place throughout the month. Take public transportation, ride-share, bike, walk, or consult Google Maps or Waze before you leave. Visit the City’s Know Before You Go Downtown website for helpful resources.

Visitor Parking

Check out the City's SAPark website for easy, convenient, and affordable parking! A map showing a full list of City-owned garages and lots can be found on the City’s SAPark website.

The  St. Mary’s Garage (205 E. Travis St.) and the City Tower Garage (117 W. Commerce St.) are located just steps from the River Walk, Houston Street and Travis Park, and they generally have a large availability of public parking spaces. Downtown Tuesday offers free parking on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. in City-owned parking facilities, and City Tower Sundays offers free parking on Sundays from 7 a.m. to midnight at the City Tower Garage (117 W. Commerce St.).

NOTE: Downtown Tuesday free parking will be temporarily suspended on Tuesday, April 23 during Fiesta and will resume on Tuesday, April 30.
