Free and low-cost things to do with San Antonio Parks and Recreation.


SAN ANTONIO (March 6, 2026) – Spring Break is just around the corner and it’s the perfect time for families to get out, get active and explore.San Antonio Parks and Recreation has activities for all interests that are free or low-cost to keep kids, teens and adults engaged throughout Spring Break.

Splash Pads
Starting March 7 
Hours: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily 
Stay cool and have fun for free at seven City splash pads.
Free Swim
March 9-14 
Atanacio Garcia Natatorium
Open swim and lap swim are free during Spring Break week.
Spring Break Camp
March 9-13
Cost: $3 per child per day; includes lunch and snack
Ages: 6-14
Fill your Spring Break with games, fitness, science & nature, arts & crafts, and more at one of our Community Centers hosting this fun day camp!
STEM-agine That!
March 7, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Hamilton Community Center
Free – Registration required.
Come check out all the cool science, technology, engineering, and math programs offered through Parks and Recreation. This event will include interactive activities, STEM presentations, and more. 
Nature In Our Neighborhoods
March 14, 9 a.m. – noon
San Pedro Springs Park
March 28, 9 a.m. – noon
Martin Luther King Park
Hang out every month with members of the Parks Natural Areas team to learn all about the wildlife living in your neighborhood. Enjoy activities about the amazing plants and animals that make San Antonio home. 
Pearsall Park Public Art
Explore Pearsall Park's newest public art installation and the team that made it happen. It's out of this world!

With over 260 City parks, 140 miles of park trails and more than 100 miles of the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trail System, there is something for everyone. Visit SA.Gov/Parks to find a park or trail near you.
