Updates Coming to Great Northwest and Maverick Branch Libraries

Renovations will begin in early August
SAN ANTONIO (July 31, 2023) – San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) will begin updating two library locations beginning in August as part of a continual effort to improve libraries across the city. Scheduled maintenance will temporarily close the Maverick Branch Library, beginning Tuesday, Aug. 1, and Great Northwest Branch Library, starting Monday, Aug. 7.
Renovations will include interior painting, carpeting replacement, and bathroom work at both branches. Great Northwest Branch will also receive parking lot restriping.
The book drop will remain open at both locations for returns. Meanwhile, SAPL invites patrons of the Great Northwest and Maverick locations to get to know a new library this August. With 29 locations across the city, complete library services are never far away.
