Council Consideration Request Update on Senior Transportation Access

SAN ANTONIO (June 30, 2025) — A previous press release announced the submission of a Council Consideration Request (CCR) by District 7 Councilmember Marina Alderete Gavito proposing expanded transportation access for older adults who utilize the City of San Antonio’s senior centers. However, the City has since determined that the CCR does not meet the requirements outlined in the ordinance governing CCR procedures.

As a result, this request will be removed from the CCR process and tracking system. The City Manager’s Office will work collaboratively with the District 7 Office on a potential resubmittal or explore alternative ways to address the important transportation concerns raised—without the need for a CCR.
