The free event will unite public health leaders, community partners, and residents from August 28-29.


SAN ANTONIO (August 26, 2025) — The City of San Antonio will host the “2025 Thriving Together Conference: Advancing Community Wellness” from August 28 to 29atThe Venues at Mission Concepción, 263 Felisa St.

This free event will unite public health leaders, community partners, and residents to encourage collaboration and action on building safer, healthier, and more connected communities. The conference program will examine key factors for community wellness, including belonging and civic voice, health and safety, stable housing, financial security, lifelong learning, reliable transportation, and a healthy environment.

Conference Highlights

Day 1: Healthy Together Film Night

Thursday, August 28, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
There will be a screening of The Invisible Shield, followed by a panel discussion on the root causes behind public health issues and how we can improve health outcomes and well-being in San Antonio. 

Day 2 : Thriving Together Conference

Friday, August 29, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Keynote by Dr. Vasan Ramachandran, UT School of Public Health – San Antonio, with two panel discussions on “Building the Basics – Creating Safe, Healthy, and Connected Communities” and “Creating Opportunity – Jobs, Learning, and the Power of Connection.”

The conference will include exhibitors from Alamo Colleges District, El Camino De San Antonio Missions, Gardopia Gardens, Department of Human Services, Metro Health, Parks & Recreation and Soarion Credit Union.
