A series of six event workshops will be held from June through August.

SAN ANTONIO (June 12, 2025) – To help the community stay safe and healthy during hot weather, the City of San Antonio and its partners are teaming up to host workshops and share resources on how to protect people, family, friends, and pets from the heat. A series of six event workshops will take place at City Resilience Hubs, which are community and senior centers that offer daily programming and social services. These are spaces for the public to access information and resources to help meet needs before, during, and after an emergency.

Each session will provide an opportunity to learn through presentations and discussions, engage participants through children’s activities and skills learning for adults, and connect with representatives from various City departments and partner organizations about their services and resources. The events are being held in collaboration with Bexar County, CPS Energy, the Alamo Area Council of Governments, United Way, the Texas Division of Emergency Management, and various City departments.
