San Antonio Public Library Locations Closed Thursday, March 5

The closure allows staff to participate in professional development.

SAN ANTONIO (March 2, 2026) – In an ongoing effort to provide the highest level of library service, San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) staff will participate in system-wide professional development on Thursday, March 5. To accommodate this training, all SAPL locations will be closed on March 5.

These training sessions allow staff to engage in continuing education focused on industry best practices and providing exceptional service. Library staff look forward to welcoming residents back into locations on Friday, March 6.

Some services will remain available to library patrons during staff professional development on March 5. The Digital Library is available 24/7 and outdoor Wi-Fi at SAPL locations will remain available during normal service hours.
