SAN ANTONIO (September 4, 2026)— With Labor Day signaling the unofficial end of summer, San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is preparing for a busy holiday travel period as thousands of travelers taking advantage of the long holiday weekend are expected to pass through the airport.

To help keep trips stress-free, SAT is encouraging passengers to reserve airport parking in advance or make alternative transportation plans before arriving at the airport. “We expect a busy Labor Day weekend as travelers take one last summer trip,” said Jesus Saenz, Director of Airports, City of San Antonio Aviation Department. “Travelers can help ensure a smoother experience by reserving parking in advance, arriving early and checking their flight status before heading to the airport.”
