The Disabled Veteran & Military Plates Parking Program launches Saturday, November 1.

SAN ANTONIO (October 29, 2025)  San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is launching its Disabled Veteran & Military Plates Parking Program, effective Saturday, November 1. The updated program, announced earlier this month, offers the following parking privileges to individuals with Texas-registered Disabled Veteran (DV) or military specialty license plates who enroll in the program:

  • Complimentary parking up to 30 days in economy lots
  • 50% discount in long-term garage
  • 25% discount in short-term garage
  • Parking reservations
  • Purple Heart and POW parking remains complimentary

Enrollment is required to receive parking privileges. SAT is offering multiple ways to help individuals get enrolled, including:

  • Complete the enrollment form online at FlySATParking.com/DV
  • Schedule an in-person appointment by calling 210-207-3490 or by filling out a request form
  • Visit with an Airport Ambassador, who will be on site throughout November
  • Attend one of the upcoming enrollment events hosted at the SAT Parking Office. (9453 Airport Blvd.) Each enrollment event will be hosted from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
    • Thursday, October 30
    • Saturday, November 1
    • Thursday, November 6

Enrollment processing takes three to five business days, and participants are advised to wait until they receive notification of approval before making a parking reservation. Standard posted rates will be charged without enrollment in the program, and refunds will not be granted.

Once enrolled in the program, participants’ license plates will be linked to the Metropolis parking system, providing access to program privileges and seamless drive-in, drive-out access to all parking facilities. Complimentary and discounted rates will be applied automatically.

SAT’s commitment to the military community extends beyond parking and focuses on delivering an elevated experience throughout the travel journey. Earlier this year, SAT became the first airport in the country to offer expedited screening for active-duty military and their families, and the airport is currently expanding amenities for service members through the construction of two additional USO centers as part of the new terminal.

“The San Antonio region is home to one of the nation’s largest military and veteran communities, with an estimated 156,000 veterans in Bexar County,” said Jesus Saenz, Director of Airports, City of San Antonio Aviation Department. “This year alone, more than 41,000 vehicles with Disabled Veteran plates have used our parking facilities. We’re proud to serve those who have served and remain committed to clear communication, strong support, and a seamless travel experience for military travelers.”
