SAN ANTONIO (October 1, 2026) – New songs from San Antonio’s homegrown artists are now available through the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture’s Local Music Spotlight program, highlighting the city’s diverse music scene across genres including indie rock, Tejano, hip-hop, folk and more.
The latest songs featured through Local Music Spotlight include:
“Local Music Spotlight is about opening more doors for San Antonio artists to be heard and creating new ways for our community to discover the incredible music being made right here at home,” said Krystal Jones, Director of the Department of Arts & Culture. “With every new release, we’re investing in our local music community, elevating homegrown talent, and celebrating the diverse sounds that make San Antonio’s music scene truly one of a kind.”
Each year, a panel of music industry professionals selects up to 24 original songs by San Antonio artists, who receive a $250 honorarium and promotional support through City platforms, including TVSA, City marketing channels and the Local Music Spotlight Spotify playlist. Select songs are also featured before City Council meetings.
“Participating in Local Music Spotlight has been an incredible opportunity for both my business and my growth as a local artist,” said musician Remy Bones. “The program has helped me connect with new audiences, strengthen partnerships with local businesses, and continue sharing San Antonio’s culture through live music.”
