SAWS Board Applications Close This Wednesday

SAN ANTONIO (August 11, 2025) – The City of San Antonio is urging residents to submit their applications to serve on the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) Board of Trustees as the deadline nears. The application window, which opened March 1, will close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Applications are being accepted for the following seats:

• Northeast Quadrant
• Northwest Quadrant
• Southwest Quadrant

Applicants must live in the quadrants to which they apply to be eligible to serve on the board. To view the current SAWS quadrants, visit the SAWS website.

The SAWS Board of Trustees is vested with the complete management, control, and operation of the Water System. The Board controls the expenditure and application of SAWS’ revenues and makes recommendations to the City Council concerning rates, fees, and charges for services rendered by SAWS.

The City of San Antonio also accepts applications year-round for its boards and commissions. Upcoming appointments include the Airport Advisory Commission and the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority Board.
