City Manager will present the proposed budget to Council on August 13, 2026.
SAN ANTONIO (August 3, 2026) – The City of San Antonio is inviting residents to participate in a series of Budget Town Hall meetings in August. Leaders and staff will share highlights from the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 proposed budget and answer questions from residents.
“The City’s budget is arguably one of the most important responsibilities of local government,” City Manager Erik Walsh said. “These Budget Town Halls give residents a chance to learn more about this year’s proposed budget, ask questions and share priorities. We encourage all residents to take part in the conversation.”
During the City Council A Session on August 13, 2026, City Manager Walsh will present the FY 2027 Proposed Budget. Following that session, town hall meetings will occur across the city of San Antonio from August 17-28, including a Youth Town Hall on August 22. The City’s new fiscal year begins on October 1, 2026. City Council will vote on the budget during the A Session on September 17, 2026.
Residents can view a full list of Town Hall meetings, including a Youth Town Hall, held throughout the city. Learn more at SA.gov/Budget.
