Ready to Work Advisory Board is Seeking Applicants

The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants for its Ready to Work Advisory Board. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2026.

Individuals with experience in trade or labor organizations or organizations serving high-barrier communities are encouraged to apply.

Role of the Board

The San Antonio Ready to Work Advisory Board provides expertise and input to help maximize the effectiveness of the Ready to Work workforce development program. The Board advises the City’s Workforce Development Office on the scope of in‑demand occupations, the alignment of training with local employer needs, the annual allotment of workforce certificate and degree programs, and levels of wraparound support for clients. It also serves as a Community Program Ambassador, promoting resident participation and employer hiring of participants, and provides input on budgetary allocations.

The Board meets on the third Tuesday of every other month from 1 to 3 p.m.
