Planning Commission is Seeking Applicants

The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants for its Planning Commission. The deadline to apply is November 23, 2025.

San Antonio residents with different levels of experience are encouraged to apply.

Role of the Commission

The Planning Commission advises the City Council on changes and updates to the City of San Antonio’s Master Plan and Unified Development Code.

• The City’s Master Plan sets goals for building residents a well-rounded, equitable city that thrives economically while protecting historical, cultural, and natural resources.
• The Unified Development Code sets forth the regulations for implementing the City’s Master Plan.

The Commission meets at 1901 S. Alamo St. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, at 2 p.m. Members receive training and have access to transportation and reimbursement for the cost of dependent care during meetings.
