New Public Safety Dashboard for Fire Response Data

SAN ANTONIO (August 3, 2026) – Citizens can stay informed about the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) responses in their neighborhood using the convenient online Public Safety Dashboard: Fire Response, which provides access to fire and medical responses, arson investigations, and fire prevention inspection data for the City of San Antonio. The dashboard is located on the Fire Department’s website and the City’s Public Safety Dashboards website.

Citizens can skip a formal open records request and find Fire Department response information through maps, graphs, tables, data-filter features, and downloadable data options. The dashboard also provides the ability to:

  • Look up fire incidents, medical incidents, and arson investigations by Council District and zip code.
  • Gain insight into the types of medical incidents SAFD responds to and the corresponding response unit.
  • Discover trends in Fire Department activity during certain times of the year, for example, during summer months or holidays.
  • Review arson investigation case statuses and outcomes

The currently available data set covers January 1, 2024, through July 31, 2026. The dashboard will update at the beginning of each month and add data from the previous month. The dashboard also provides year-to-year comparisons for each data set.

“This new response dashboard gives our community a real-time look at how their Fire Department serves them every day, while reinforcing our commitment to accountability, efficiency, and public safety,” said Fire Chief Valerie Frausto.

This is the second in a series of public safety dashboards. The first was the Police Response dashboard, released in October 2024. A dashboard for the Good Neighbor Program – Community Engagement will be released next. Citizens will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the additional information they would like to see on the dashboard and how to enhance the user experience.
