Metro Health Launches "Let's Grow Together” Campaign

SAN ANTONIO (July 31, 2026) The City of San Antonio Metro Health is launching “Let’s Grow Together,” a public health awareness campaign that promotes programs and resources supporting the health and well-being of pregnant women, infants, children and adolescents throughout San Antonio and Bexar County. Improving maternal, infant, child and adolescent health is a key role of public health. 

“At Metro Health, we recognize that investing in the health of mothers, infants, children and adolescents is an investment in the future of our community,” said Dr. Claude A. Jacob, Director of Metro Health. “When families have access to care, resources and support they need, children can grow, thrive and reach their full potential. That commitment is reflected in our vision of healthy people thriving in a healthy community.”  

The launch of “Let’s Grow Together” coincides with two national observances in August:  National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) and National Breastfeeding Month (NBM). These observances highlight the importance of routine vaccinations and breastfeeding as essential foundations for lifelong health. 

Throughout August, the campaign will feature community outreach events, educational resources and public health awareness messaging across San Antonio and Bexar County. Metro Health is working closely with other City of San Antonio departments including the Department of Human Services, Neighborhood & Housing Services, Parks & Recreation and San Antonio Public Library to ensure families are connected to a wide range of programs and services.

This collaborative effort strengthens the public health system by improving access to care, expanding community outreach and increasing awareness of programs that support families from pregnancy through adolescence.
