Library Now Offering Hundreds of New Spanish-language eBooks

MakeMake features vast online collection of books for children, teens.


SAN ANTONIO (October 30, 2025) — The San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) is now offering unlimited access for cardholders to over 800 new Spanish-language eBooks for children and teens through MakeMake, a digital library platform. MakeMake originates from Colombia and provides a Spanish-language search interface with a focus on literature from Latin American authors.

MakeMake’s digital resources include interactive books, traditional picture books, comics, monthly recommendations and virtual programming with guest authors and experts. The digital platform is now available with unlimited access to SAPL cardholders. Users can access MakeMake from anywhere for free on their tablet, computer, or mobile phone by using their library card.

MakeMake is useful for Spanish-speaking parents reading to their children in their native language, teachers with Spanish-speaking students and parents trying to teach their young children a new language.
