Johnston Branch Library Temporary Closure for Maintenance

An electrical systems upgrade will require the closure of the branch on July 14 and 15.

SAN ANTONIO (July 10, 2025) — The Johnston Branch Library (6307 Sun Valley, 78227) is scheduled for an electrical systems upgrade. The San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) project requires a temporary closure of the branch on July 14 and 15, 2025. 

Library services, including access to the book drop and outdoor Wi-Fi, will be unavailable at Johnston Branch Library during the closure, but full library services are available at:

• Guerra Branch Library (7978 Military Dr. W., 78227)
• Cortez Branch Library (2803 Hunter Blvd., 78224)

The Johnston Branch Library will reopen on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Any items due to be returned during the scheduled closure will be extended to July 16. SAPL never charges late fines and items can be returned at any location.
