Help Shape the Future of the River Walk

View recommendations for the River Walk’s next chapter at a public meeting.

SAN ANTONIO (September 24, 2026) — Led by the Office of Historic Preservation, the City of San Antonio is developing a River Walk Strategic Plan to provide the framework for future decision-making and investments related to the historic River Walk.

The public is invited to attend a second public meeting on Monday, September 28, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Central Library, 600 Soledad. Attendees can hear about previous input and see how it is shaping the draft River Walk Strategic Plan. All will have an opportunity to speak directly to the project team and provide important, early feedback on draft recommendations

A citywide digital survey was completed by 7,320 residents and visitors. The City also hosted the first public input meeting on May 9, 2026, which introduced the planning process and offered residents an opportunity to share their initial ideas, concerns, and visions for the River Walk’s next chapter.
