The City of San Antonio’s budget survey is open April 1 – May 1.

SAN ANTONIO (April 1, 2026) – The City of San Antonio is inviting residents to help shape how the City invests in the community by taking part in the annual budget survey, open April 1 through May 1, 2026. Each year, the City develops an operating budget that reflects the priorities of residents, the Mayor, and City Council. The City’s fiscal year begins October 1.

As planning begins for the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget, community input is essential to identify which programs and City services, such as streets, parks, and public safety, should be prioritized.

The City is in the second year of a three-year plan to reduce spending while protecting essential services and maintaining a strong financial position. By managing resources responsibly, the City will continue delivering the core services residents depend on. Resident input is critical to help guide these budget decisions and ensure investments reflect community priorities.

Residents can take the survey online at SA.gov/BudgetSurvey or pick up a survey card at libraries, senior centers, community centers, and Council District field offices across San Antonio. The survey takes less than five minutes to complete, is available in English and Spanish, and all responses are confidential.

Survey results will be shared with the Mayor and City Council at a Budget Goal Setting Session and published on SASpeakUp.com on May 22, 2026. In August, the City will host Budget Town Halls in each Council District to review the proposed budget with residents.
