Head Start Policy Council Seeking Applicants

The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants for its Head Start Policy Council. The deadline to apply is December 4, 2026.San Antonio residents who live or work in the San Antonio Independent School District or Edgewood Independent School District geographic areas and want to support Head Start’s mission to prepare children and engage families in school readiness and lifelong success are encouraged to apply.

Role of the Board

The Head Start Policy Council participates in shared decision-making of the City of San Antonio Head Start program policies, program planning, and fiscal oversight.

The Policy Council meets every fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:15 p.m. at the Head Start Office.
