SAN ANTONIO (July 22, 2025)  Frontier Airlines announced today they will add to their list of nonstop routes from San Antonio International Airport (SAT). Starting on October 10, 2025, the ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) will launch new nonstop service to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).

“Earlier this summer we celebrated Frontier’s resumption of nonstop service to Atlanta, and we’re thrilled to see the growth continue,” Jesus Saenz, Director of Airports, City of San Antonio Aviation Department said. “We continue to work tirelessly on expanding nonstop service from SAT which includes new routes, new airlines, and new options on existing routes.”

The new service will complement existing service from SAT to the Arizona capital currently offered by both American Airlines and Southwest Airlines.

“SAT has seen significant ULCC growth in recent years,” said Jacob Tyler, Air Service Administrator, City of San Antonio Aviation Department. “This has increased competition resulting in cheaper fares and more options not only for San Antonians but for residents throughout Central and South Texas.”

Here’s what to know about the new flights:

  • Service begins on October 10, 2025
  • Frequency: 3x weekly, Mondays, Fridays, & Sundays

Frontier Airlines will now serve 5 destinations nonstop from SAT:

  • Atlanta (ATL)
  • Denver (DEN)
  • Las Vegas (LAS)
  • Orlando (MCO)
  • Phoenix (PHX) begins on October 10, 2025
