SAN ANTONIO (April 14, 2026) The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Earth Day 2026, an official Fiesta event, at Woodlawn Lake Park (1103 Cincinnati Ave., 78201) on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Earth Day offers the community an opportunity to come together and celebrate nature, conservation and sustainability while enjoying a free, fun-filled event.
The event will feature more than 70 community partners, dance performances by the San Antonio Parks and Recreation dance students, Native American performance by War Party, live music by Ronnie Tee Y Los Cumbia Rockstars, hands-on family activities, a nature play area, and fitness activities.
Giveaways
Guests can enjoy free tree, plant and Fiesta medal giveaways, while supplies last.

Free E-trolley Rides
Get around the park with ease with free e-trolley rides from The Local. Hop on and hop off during the event to experience all points of interest throughout Woodlawn Lake Park.
Fun New Activities
New to this year’s event is a Book Swap hosted by 11th Hour Books and Morning Bookclub at Woodlawn Gym (219 Alexander Ave., 78201). Bring a book and take a book. In addition, the “In Conversation Series” welcomes Eva Davidson, winner of the official 2026 Fiesta poster competition, from 11 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at Berta Almaguer Dance Studio & Community Center (138 South Josephine Tobin Drive, 78201).
Know Before You Go
- Carpool or use public transportation to further reduce your carbon footprint.
- Water refill stations and water fountains will be available at the Earth Day event. Bring a reusable water bottle to help reduce single-use plastics.
- Bringing your own reusable bags, containers, cloth napkins and utensils helps to reduce waste.
- Leashed dogs are welcome. Please remember to bring a doggie bowl and waste bags for your pet.
