District 9 Councilwoman Invites Community to “New Year, New You” event

SAN ANTONIO (January 27, 2026) – Councilwoman Misty Spears is inviting residents from across San Antonio to kick off the new year with purpose at the New Year, New You community event on Saturday, January 31, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Walker Ranch Senior Center, 835 West Rhapsody Drive, 78216.
The free event will bring together local vendors, organizations, and service providers focused on helping residents stay on track with their New Year’s resolutions.
“New Year, New You is about giving people practical tools and real, local connections to support their goals,” said Councilwoman Spears. “Whether you are focusing on your health, finances, family, or planning for the future, this event is designed to meet residents where they are and help them start the year strong.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with local businesses and community partners offering resources related to:
- fitness and wellness.
- health and preventive care.
- financial planning and stability.
- real estate guidance and homeownership resources.
- mortgage and lending information.
- family services and community support.
The event is open to all San Antonio residents, and registration is encouraged but not required. Residents can find more information or register in advance at the event website.
