District 9 Celebrates Teachers with School Supply Giveaway, Breakfast, and Lounge Makeover

SAN ANTONIO (August 11, 2025) – On Friday, August 8, the D9 Loves Our Teachers! Supply Giveaway brought supplies to the educators of Stone Oak Elementary.

Staff members received colorful totes packed with extra school supplies to help keep classrooms stocked throughout the year. The morning included Chick-fil-A breakfast for the faculty.

“Teachers pour so much into our children every single day,” District 9 Councilmember Misty Spears said. “This was our way of making sure they have the tools they need for their classrooms.”

Funding for the event was made possible through collaboration with local partners, including a contribution from the San Antonio Spurs organization, reflecting an ongoing commitment to supporting educators in District 9.
