SAN ANTONIO (October 10, 2025) – Councilmembers Ric Galvan (District 6) and Edward Mungia (District 4) visited Guajolote Ranch to better understand the proposed development and assess its potential impacts on the region’s water supply and environmental resources.

During their visit both Councilmembers walked the land, reviewed the topography, and met with community advocates and environmental stakeholders to hear concerns regarding the water quality and long-term infrastructure demands as well as the ecological risks.

“Growth must be done in a sustainable manner that prioritizes water first,” said Councilmember Galvan. “We cannot sacrifice our natural resources or the health of our residents for short-term gains. Protecting our water means protecting our future.”

"My constituents in District 4, and all San Antonians, deserve a transparent process that addresses the real and present threats to our water,” said Councilmember Mungia. “The Guajolote Ranch visit has reinforced that we must work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure that any development does not compromise the environmental health of our region.”

Councilmembers Galvan and Mungia expressed their gratitude to the residents and advocates who continue to speak up for environmental protection. Their visit underscores a shared commitment to transparency, community engagement, and sustainable growth that benefits all San Antonians.
