District 6 Councilmember Votes No on Guajolote Ranch Project

SAN ANTONIO (February 5, 2025) – District 6 Councilmember Ric Galvan voted no on moving forward with the Lennar Guajolote Ranch project, citing concerns related to long-term impacts that this project will have on the region. 

“Protecting San Antonio’s water supply is essential to health, safety, and sustainability of the community,” said the District 6 Councilmember. “I am not supportive of the Guajolote Ranch project moving forward. I believe this project will end up costing our city significantly in terms of infrastructure and environmental costs – neither of which we can afford to risk. District 6 remains committed to responsible development that protects natural resources, safeguards public infrastructure, and prioritizes the well-being of working families and future generations.”
