SAN ANTONIO (July 2, 2025) – District 5 Councilmember Teri Castillo is expressing support for an initiative to relocate longtime arts educator, museum docent, and community volunteer Michael Greene, who has spent more than a decade contributing to San Antonio’s cultural life.
Councilmember Castillo initiated the collaboration with Caring Transitions, a group of San Antonio franchise owners who are providing the pro bono relocation, which includes packing and unpacking, transportation, and home setup assistance. The group is donating its time and services to ensure a safe, seamless move for Greene as he transitions to a new residence more suited to his needs.
The District 5 Office's involvement reflects its ongoing efforts to uplift those who serve the community quietly but powerfully, from educators to neighborhood advocates.
“Michael’s dedication to arts education and his leadership in our neighborhoods exemplify the very best of San Antonio,” Councilmember Castillo said. “It is an honor to support this pro bono relocation effort, as this generosity demonstrates how we can uplift one of our own. This collaboration demonstrates how small businesses and City leadership can come together to meet the needs of residents who have selflessly contributed to the city’s cultural and civic life.”
