District 5 Councilmember Celebrates Community at Tea Party

SAN ANTONIO (November 5, 2025) – District 5 seniors gathered this morning for a joyful and lively Tea Party celebration hosted by Councilmember Teri Castillo, creating a welcoming space filled with music, dancing, food, and community connection.

Seniors enjoyed tea, coffee, pastries, and snacks, along with festive activities including a best-dressed contest, spirited rounds of lotería, and plenty of dancing.

“This morning’s event was all about showing up for our seniors and creating moments of joy and connection,” said Councilmember Teri Castillo. “Our seniors are the backbone of District 5, and it was an honor to share this celebration with them.”

District 5 extends a heartfelt thank you to the Gonzaba Foundation and Methodist Healthcare for generously sponsoring today’s Tea Party, helping make the event possible. Special appreciation also goes to DJ John Creeks for bringing the music and energy that filled the dance floor.

The event highlighted the importance of gathering together, caring for one another, and celebrating the community spirit that defines District 5.
