As food assistance needs rise, District 3 is supporting organizations like the San Antonio Food Bank and CPS Energy.
SAN ANTONIO (November 26, 2025) – This holiday season, the District 3 Office volunteered with the San Antonio Food Bank and CPS Energy to support San Antonio families experiencing food insecurity.
As the need for food assistance continues to rise, these and other organizations remain essential in ensuring that every San Antonian has access to nutritious meals.
“Countless families in District 3 and across our city are feeling the strain of federal program uncertainty,” said the District 3 Councilmember. “No one in our community should have to choose between paying a bill and putting food on the table. The San Antonio Food Bank and CPS Energy have stood by the Southside time and time again, and now it’s our turn to show up and support them.”
As the holidays approach, the District 3 Office encourages Southside residents to volunteer alongside their team to help prepare, organize, and distribute food to local families. Connect with the District 3 Office for more volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Those interested in signing up to volunteer or learning how to give can visit SAFoodBank.org/volunteer.
