SAN ANTONIO (June 11, 2025) – Amid growing reports of unrest in other cities across the country, District 10 is calling for calm, vigilance, and a firm commitment to law and order as concerns rise about potential disruptive activity in San Antonio.

“As a city, we must stand united in preserving peace, protecting property, and ensuring public safety,” said District 10 Councilmember Marc Whyte. “While every citizen has the right to express their views peacefully, we cannot tolerate any form of violence, vandalism, or intimidation on our streets. Our city must remain a place of order, safety, and opportunity for all who call it home.”

Councilmember Whyte expressed full confidence in the San Antonio Police Department and all local first responders, encouraging coordination across City departments to ensure readiness and transparency, while also emphasizing the importance of sending a clear message that San Antonio will not allow violent or destructive behavior to take root in the community. The Councilmember appreciates City leadership taking proactive measures, including increased patrols, situational awareness updates, and public communication efforts, to keep residents informed and protected.
