District 10 Councilmember Supports Memorandum of Understanding between the City of San Antonio and San Antonio Water System

SAN ANTONIO (January 30, 2025) – During today’s San Antonio City Council A-Session, the Council unanimously approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of San Antonio and San Antonio Water System (SAWS). This agreement defines clear roles and responsibilities for the City and SAWS during the design and construction phases of joint projects, emphasizing the communication necessary to ensure their timely and cost-effective completion.

“All sides must be accountable to our citizens,” District 10 Councilmember Marc Whyte said. “San Antonio residents expect construction projects to be completed efficiently and without unnecessary delays that burden neighborhoods and local businesses. We owe it to our community to expedite construction. Thank you to colleagues for joining in this effort, and our City staff and leadership at SAWS for making it possible. I am hopeful that we are now on a better path to deliver projects for our city in the manner our residents expect and deserve.”
