SAN ANTONIO (March 2, 2026) – Councilmember Marc Whyte voted in favor of the February 27 censure resolution, emphasizing that professionalism and workplace respect must remain a standard inside City Hall, stating, “Everyone who works in and around this chamber deserves respect. When concerns are raised about the workplace environment, they must be taken seriously.”

While supporting the resolution, the District 10 Councilmember made clear that the City cannot afford to spend its time dwelling on internal conflict, stating, “The people of San Antonio are not asking us to rehash every frustration. They’re asking us to lead in solving the problems facing our city.”

Whyte outlined the issues he believes should command the Council’s full attention: keeping crime low and families safe, repairing infrastructure, protecting affordability for working families and seniors, growing economic opportunity, and keeping SAWS and CPS Energy rates under control. “These are the pressures residents feel every day—at their kitchen tables and in their businesses,” the District 10 Councilmember said. “Those concerns must come first.”

The District 10 Councilmember concluded with a call for collaboration moving forward, stating, “This moment can either deepen division or mark a turning point. Let’s focus on the future. Let’s reset, work together, and get back to delivering results for the people who put us here.”
