District 10 Councilman Launches Accelerate SA With Community Support

SAN ANTONIO (April 22, 2026) – Following two explosions that happened last night in the Preston Hollow neighborhood, Councilman Marc Whyte extends his thoughts and prayers to the five individuals currently receiving care in the hospital and to the families who have been displaced. 

The District 10 Councilmember stated, “This is a difficult time for many in our community, and we stand with those affected as they begin the recovery process.

“We are deeply grateful for the swift and professional response from our first responders, as well as the continued support from the Red Cross, CPS Energy, and the Northeast Senior Center. 

“Their efforts have been critical in ensuring public safety and assisting those in need. Residents impacted by this incident are encouraged to contact the District 10 Office. Our team is here to help connect you with available resources and support.”
