SAN ANTONIO (April 10, 2026) – San Antonio City Councilman Marc Whyte today announced the launch of Accelerate SA, a policy initiative to move San Antonio forward and into the next decade. The District 10 Council Office stated that the policy platform addresses affordability, jobs and workforce, public safety, infrastructure, housing, and government transparency, and is designed to address both the long-term economic development needs of the city and the immediate quality-of-life concerns that residents raise at neighborhood meetings every week.
“San Antonio has everything a great American city needs — talent, culture, location, and momentum,” said the District 10 Councilman. “What we lack is a clear, executable plan to turn that potential into lasting prosperity for every family, every neighborhood, and every small business that makes this city worth fighting for. The platform has drawn early support from both the business community and neighborhood leaders in the city.”
"San Antonio's next decade will be defined by how well we connect growth with opportunity," said Jeff Webster, CEO of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. "Accelerate SA sets an important direction, and the Greater Chamber is committed to helping turn these priorities into real results for our workforce, our businesses, and our neighborhoods."
Oak Park Northwood Neighborhood Association President Gina Eisenberg echoed that sentiment, stating, "Councilman Marc Whyte's vision is rooted in protecting what makes our neighborhoods special — quality of life, safety, and a strong sense of community."
