SAN ANTONIO (June 11, 2026) – The District 1 Office is bringing back its Music to Business program, an initiative to support small businesses.

The program will bring live performances by local musicians into neighborhood businesses across District 1, to help attract customers and potentially increase foot traffic. Participating businesses include locally owned restaurants and other small enterprises in various District 1 neighborhoods.

The initiative is designed to help small businesses draw new customers during the summer season while encouraging residents to shop local and support neighborhood establishments.

“Small businesses are essential to the identity and economic strength of our neighborhoods,” said District 1 Councilmember Dr. Sukh Kaur. “The return of ‘Music to Business’ is about investing directly in our local entrepreneurs while also creating paid opportunities for talented local musicians.”

Performances will occur on Fridays and Saturdays beginning on June 12. There will be more than 30 performances before the program concludes on August 8.

Originally launched as a pilot initiative, the program received support from business owners and performers who shared the positive impact of increased foot traffic and community engagement generated through live music events.

The series schedule and other details can be found at the initiative’s website.
