Development Services Announces Community Listening Sessions for City’s Code Enforcement Strategic Plan
Website page launches to share information and gather feedback.
SAN ANTONIO (June 30, 2025) – The City of San Antonio’s Development Services Department (DSD) is inviting residents to participate in a series of 10 community listening sessions – one in each City Council district – to help shape the future of Code Enforcement in San Antonio.
These sessions are a key part of the City’s Code Strategic Plan initiative, which aims to build a transparent, community-driven strategy that reflects the priorities and values of San Antonio residents.
“We want to hear directly from our residents,” Development Services Director Michael Shannon said. “These sessions will help us understand the needs of each district and develop guiding principles that inform a stronger, more responsive Code Enforcement program.”
The listening sessions will provide residents with an opportunity to:
- Share their thoughts and experiences with Code Enforcement
- Ask questions and receive up-to-date information about current processes
- Help shape a strategic plan grounded in community input
A dedicated Code Strategic Plan webpage is now live at SASpeakUp.com/CodeStrategicPlan, where residents can view session dates at locations near them, learn more about the initiative, and submit comments via email at CodeStrategicPlan@sanantonio.gov.
