SAN ANTONIO (November 4, 2026) — The following is a statement from the District 2 Councilmember.

“On election night, San Antonio residents voted to reauthorize Pre-K 4 SA for another twenty years. With this, voters supported transformative change for our entire community.

“As a high school math teacher running for City Council, nearly every voter wanted to know how we as a city could create a better future for our children. Access to affordable, quality early childhood education is a cornerstone of that success.

“This reauthorization will allow us to strengthen the ecosystem of learning in San Antonio, increase the number of seats available to families, open the door to economic development opportunities, and invest in our collective futures, especially those of young San Antonians.

“Pre-K 4 SA is a proven national model of preparing the next generation for success and the ability to thrive. This reauthorization is one of my proudest efforts as a Councilmember.”
